A Slice of Passion, Baked Into Every Pizza

Green lantern pizza was born in 2009 from a simple belief: that great pizza starts with great ingredients, honest recipes, and a whole lot of heart. What began as a small family-run kitchen on Walton Blvd. in Rochester Hills quickly grew into something much bigger — a gathering place for the community.

Founder Marco DiNatale grew up watching his grandmother stretch dough by hand in her Naples kitchen. When he moved to Michigan, he brought those time-honored traditions with him, adapting them to celebrate local Michigan flavors while staying true to the craft of authentic pizza-making.

Today, Green lantern pizza serves hundreds of families every week, using locally sourced produce, freshly milled flour, and house-made sauces. Every pizza that leaves our kitchen carries the same care and craftsmanship that Marco put into that very first pie.

2009

The First Oven Fires Up

Marco DiNatale opens Green lantern pizza in a modest 800 sq ft space on Walton Blvd., armed with his grandmother's recipes and a secondhand stone oven imported from Italy.

2011

Local Recognition

Voted "Best New Restaurant" by Rochester Hills Reader's Choice Awards. The buzz brings a wave of loyal regulars, and we expand our dining room to seat 60 guests.

2014

Farm-to-Table Partnership

We forge partnerships with three local Michigan farms, committing to sourcing fresh, seasonal vegetables directly from growers within 50 miles of our kitchen.

2017

Catering Launch

Launched our full-service catering operation after years of requests. Green lantern pizza now brings handcrafted pizza to weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

2020

Online Ordering & Delivery

Adapted quickly to serve the community through challenging times by launching online ordering and contactless delivery, keeping Rochester Hills fed and connected.

2024

Renovation & New Menu

Celebrated 15 years with a full restaurant renovation, a refreshed menu featuring 10 new specialty pizzas, and the launch of our loyalty rewards program for valued regulars.
